  Nitazoxanide, which is found in NIZONIDE DT 200MG TABLET, is an antiprotozoal medication. It is prescribed for diarrhoea caused by Giardia lamblia or Cryptosporidium parvum. Diarrhoea occurs when there is insufficient water removed from the stool or when too much fluid is secreted into the stool, causing it to become loose. While taking this medication, avoid drinking alcohol. NIZONIDE DT 200MG TABLET is ineffective in treating diarrhoea caused by C. nitazoxanide 200 mg  should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women due to a lack of safety data. Children under the age of 11 should not take NIZONIDE DT 200MG TABLET. It should be used with caution in patients over the age of 65. Abdominal pain, diarrhoea, headache, and nausea are the most common side effects of taking NIZONIDE DT 200MG TABLET.
